Disenggol Marquez, Kabel Kontrol Traksi Motor Pedrosa Putus

GILAMOTOR.com – Marc Marquez semakin dekat dengan gelar juara dunia pertamanya di kelas premier di musim pertamanya. Setelah dia berhasil meraih kemenangan ke-6 nya di seri 14 yang digelar di sirkuit Aragon, hari Minggu 29 September 2013.

Namun sial bagi rekan satu tim Marc, Dani Pedrosa. Dani yang sudah berada di posisi kedua setelah berhasil memenangkan duel dengan Marc, terjatuh di lap 6 setelah Marc yang berusaha melewatinya dari sisi luar saat masuk tikungan 12 sedikit menyenggol bagian belakang motornya. Hindari senggolan lebih keras, Marc mengangkat sudut kemiringan motornya sehingga keluar lintasan. Tapi naas bagi Dani, dorongan kecil akibat senggolan itu membuat ban belakangnya kehilangan traksi saat dia akan keluar tikungan. Dani terpental dan terbang di udara. Terbanting cukup keras ke aspal, Dani pun kembali alami cedera.

Peristiwa senggolan itu bermula saat Marc kehilangan posisi titik pengeremannya. Saat itu, Dani ada di posisi ke-2 dan Marc di posisi 3 sementara Lorenzo di depan berusaha membuat jarak dengan dua pembalap Honda itu.

Senggolan kecil itu rupanya berdampak buruk bagi motor Dani. Pasalnya, insiden itu membuat kabel sensor kontrol traksi motor Dani putus. Dan itu yang membuat Dani kehilangan traksi dan terjatuh saat keluar tikungan 12.

Setelah insiden itu, Dani langsung dikirim ke pusat medis untuk menjalani pemirksaan. Padahal hari itu adalah hari ulang tahunnya yang ke-28. “Untungnya secara fisik aku baik-baik saja,” ucap Pedrosa. “Aku mengalami tekanan keras pada pinggul dan selangkangan ku, tapi untungnya aku lolos dari cedera berat akibat kecelakaan besar itu.”

“Marc terlalu lebar di titik masuk tikungan itu, dia menyenggolku dari sisi luar dan aku terbang saat aku membuka gas. Mekanik ku bilang pada ku kalau kabel kontrol traksi motor ku putus akibat senggolan itu.”

Insiden itu sedang dalam investigasi tim Race Direction. Tapi apapun yang akan dikatakan oleh Race Direction usai investigasi itu, Pedrosa tetap kecewa karena dia tak mendapatkan poin. “Apapun keputusan Race Direction aku tetap saja tak dapat poin,” keluh Pedrosa kepada MotoGP.com.

“Mereka mengerem di jalur berbeda, gaya berbeda di tikungan itu,” tambah tim manajer Livio Suppo. “Marc tidak bodoh. Dia tahu sebuah senggolan saja bisa berarti masalah besar juga buat dirinya. Dia tak sengaja melakukan itu. Sayangnya hal semacam ini bisa terjadi. Dani menderita, tapi lebih dari itu adalah kekecewaan besar. Aku sangat memahami itu.”

Ke depan, tak menutup kemungkinan Honda akan membuat pelindung kabel sensor. Tapi yang sangat mengejutkan bagi Honda adalah sistem kontrol traksi tak kembali ke safe/back-up mode setelah sensor alami kegagalan.
