Melalui GSR750, Suzuki coba melakukan penetrasi pada pangsa pasar neked bike di kelas menengah. Karena itulah Suzuki merencanakan penggunaan material untuk suspensi, chassis dan rangka akan dibuat dengan harga yang lebih murah untuk menekan harga jual motor ini.
Desainnya yang terlihat jauh lebih agresif dibanding dengan generasi-generasi motor Suzuki sebelumnya, merupakan usaha Suzuki untuk mengisi kesenjangan antara garis-garis desain Suzuki Gladius dan B-King.
Dari kabar yang beredar, GSR750 ini akan bersaing dengan rival senegaranya Kawasaki Z750R dan Yamaha FZ8 serta beberapa produk Eropa seperti Aprilia Shiver dan Triumph Street Triple.
Suzuki menjadwalkan GSR750 neked bike model 2011 ini akan ikut ambil bagian di ajang Intermot Cologne, Italia pada awal Oktober mendatang. Dalam gelaran tersebut diharapkan Suzuki akan menampilkan lebih detil sosok GSR750 termasuk spesifikasi teknik nya.
