Stoner Kesal Dicuekin Marshal

GILAMOTOR.com. – Drama jatuhnya Rossi saat berusaha melewati Stoner hingga akhirnya keduanya terjatuh keluar lintasan, membuat pebalap asal Australia itu gusar. Dan yang lebih membuatnya kesal adalah perlakuan marshal yang seolah menganggapnya tidak ada.

Saat keduanya tergelincir ke luar lintasan, Rossi memang mendapat bantuan dari sejumlah marshal untuk bangkit dan kembali melanjutkan balapan, dan Rossi pun finish di posisi lima. Ironisnya, Stoner yang jatuh bersamaan dengan Rossi dan berusaha bangkit seperti Rossi, seolah diacuhkan oleh beberapa marshal, padahal lokasi keduanya bersebelahan.

Setelah Rossi berhasil melanjutkan balapan, para marshal itu berjalan kembali menuju ke pos mereka sebelum akhirnya kembali untuk membantu Stoner setelah juara dunia tahun 2007 itu berteriak meminta bantuan.

Stoner yang mengaku tak mengalami masalah dengan motornya usai terjatuh, mengatakan bahwa motornya masih bisa melanjutkan balapan jika dia mendapatkan bantuan untuk kembali.

“Tidak ada kerusakan pada motor saya,” papar Stoner. “Kami telah berusaha untuk memulai lagi dalam beberapa saat untuk menaikan gir, dan saya rasa jika kami mendapat bantuan dorongan dari beberapa orang, ada kesempatan untuk kami dapat menyalakan motor.”

“Ketika saya melihat ke belakang saya mendapati seperti ada satu orang yang mendorong ku, mereka sudah berjalan kembali ke pos mereka… Apa yang harus saya lakukan dengan itu? Pastinya orang itu (Stoner) telah berusaha keras, tapi hanya dengan satu orang itu tidak mungkin – Dia pasti tumbang sebelum melewati tanjakan.”

Menurut Stoner, jika dia berhasil kembali menjalankan motornya dia akan mendapatkan nilai yang bagus. Manun sayang, marshal kurang membantunya untuk menyalakan motor dan kembali balapan.

“Kami yakin kami akan mampu bersaing hingga akhir, tapi hal terjadi seperti ini.”

Stoner yang mengaku kecewa dengan cara Rossi meminta maaf, kini fokus untuk menghadapi balapan berikutnya di Estoril, Portugal.
