BAI Persiapkan Discover 150

GILAMOTOR.com, Jakarta. – PT Bajaj Auto Indonesia (BAI) kini tengah mempersiapkan motor sport Discover 150 untuk pasar Indonesia. Beberapa waktu lalu, PT BAI mendaftarkan motor tersebut ke kementrian perindustrian untuk melakukan serangkaian uji produk di Indonesia.

Menurut Rizal Tandju, Marketing & Public Relation Assisten Manager PT BAI, saat ini peroduk tersebut sedang dalam tahap pengujian termasuk tes pasar. “Kami sedang melihat apakah produk ini bisa diterima masyarakat,” terang Rizal.

Lebih jauh Rizal menjelaskan, produk ini memiliki kesamaan dengan Pulsar 135 LS, yakni sama-sama motor entry level. Namun, Discover lebih mengutamakan fungsional dan performa. Menurut Rizal, jika motor ini jadi diluncurkan di Indonesia, BAI akan tetap menggunakan nama Discover karena motor ini berbeda dengan Pulsar.

Jika dilihat dari segi desain, Pulsar 135 LS terlihat jauh lebih stylish dengan performa dan durabilitas mesin yang juga mumpuni.

Dari data yang dikeluarkan Bajaj, Discover 150 dibekali mesin DTS-i, 4 stroke, natural air cooled dengan kapasitas 144.8 cc. Mesinnya diklaim mampu memuntahkan tenaga hingga 13.0 PS pada 7.500 rpm dan torsi 12.75 Nm pada 5.500 rpm.

Ikhwal harga jual dan waktu peluncurannya, BAI masih enggan bicara lebih jauh.
