Lorenzo : Menanti Duel Dengan Stoner

GILAMOTOR.com. – Setelah berhasil memperkecil selisih poin dengan Stoner di Sachsenring, Jerman, dengan meraih podium dua, Lorenzo kembali bersiap untuk meraih poin penuh di sirkuit paling spektakuler di negara bagian California, Amerika Serikat, sirkuit Laguna Seca.

Dalam blog pribadinya, Lorenzo bercerita tentang keberhasilannya mencapai podium setelah pertarungan hebat dengan rival-rivalnya di Jerman, pekan lalu.

“Bagaimanapun, hari ini aku tidak akan membicarakan masa depan tetapi masa lalu, sesuatu yang masih terjadi di musim ini saat Yamaha merayakan ulang tahunnya yang ke 50. Tapi yang baru saja berlalu kemarin adalah saat aku kembali menempati podium dan meraih salah satu posisi kedua terpenting setelah sekian lama,” tulisnya.

Dia bercetita, bahwa kemenangan di Sachsenring sangat menakjubkan, sesuatu yang membuat nya sangat bersemangat karena itu adalah salah satu sirkuit yang sejak debut balapnya belum pernah menginjakkan kakinya di podium.

“Tetapi untuk kembali menempati posisi kedua secara berurutan untuk ketiga kalinya serta bagaimana aku berhasil meraihnya adalah hal yang fantastis” kata dia.

“Aku keluar dari tikungan sangat cepat, aku berusaha untuk menerobos dan aku mendapatkan cukup celah dan berhasil memanfaatkan keadaan. Itu adalah penyalipan yang ingin aku lihat berulang-ulang dan yang membantuku mengurangi selisih 4 poin dari Casey dari perebutan gelar juara dunia. Aku mengurangi selisih 4 poin dengan mendapatkan 8 poin! Memang masih sangat sulit, tetapi selisih 15 poin sudah cukup memberikan motivasi yang besar bagi kami pada balapan selanjutnya.”

“Ini adalah minggu yang berat, tetapi sedikit demi sedikit mulai ada kemajuan dan pengembangan M1 berjalan cukup lancar.”

Dalam blognya, Lorenzo juga bercerita tentang kerja kerasnya bersama tim Yamaha untuk mendapatkan setingan yang baik pada M1. Dari dua setingan berbeda yang diaplikasi pada M1, akhirnya Lorenzo memutuskan untuk menggunakan satu setingan yang dianggapnya berfungsi cukup baik saat balapan.

“Memang cukup memalukan karena aku melewatkan kesempatan untuk mengejar gelar juara, tetapi Dani (Pedrosa) sangat menakjubkan dan dia patut menerima kemenangannya setelah 2 bulan yang sulit,” terangnya.

“Aku akan sangat menyukai apabila ini akan jadi duel perebutan juara antara aku dan Casey! Kenyataannya, Casey adalah salah satu pembalap yang memiliki hubungan baik denganku. Dan aku sangat ingin duel ini terwujud karena ini adalah persaingan yang sehat tanpa kontroversi di luar sirkuit. Seperti yang pernah aku ungkapkan di media beberapa hari yang lalu, tak pernah aku bayangkan kami melakukan perang mulut.”

“Kami akan menunjukkannya di arena balap saat kami melakukan hal yang kami sukai dan nikmati!” tagasnya.
