GILAMOTOR.com, Munich. – BMW Motorrad secara resmi memperkenalkan supersport yang diklaim telah mengaplikasi sistem suspensi semi-aktif paling maju di dunia.

Adalah BMW S1000RR HP4. HP4 sendiri merupakan sebuah S1000RR yang telah dibekali dengan BMW Dynamic Damping Control (DDC) dan komponen-komponen High Performance (HP) seperti knalpot full system berbahan titanium dari Akrapovic,  forged wheels, dan beberapa bagian yang dibuat dengan bahan karbon.

BMW menjelaskan, DDC belum pernah ada pada sepeda motor produksi, dan ini akan menjadi sistem suspensi elektronik paling maju yang dapat disesuaikan dengan kondisi berkendara sesungguhnya dan kondisi permukaan jalan.

Pengaturan dapat dilakukan sesuai dengan keinginan pengendara melalui sistem BMW Electronic Suspention Adjustment (ESAII).

BMW juga mengatakan bahwa motor ini hanya memiliki berat 199 kilogram dengan kondisi tangki bahan bakar terisi penuh atau hanya 169 kilogram dalam kondisi tangki bbm kosong.

Motor bermesin 1000 cc ini diklaim mampu memproduksi tenaga hingga 142 kW atau 193 hp.
