AHM Bangun Pembangkit Listrik Mikrohidro di Lampung

GILAMOTOR.com – PT Astra Honda Motor (AHM) membangun Pembangkit Listrik Tenaga Mikro Hidro (PLTMH) berkapasitas 20.000 watt untuk membantu meningkatkan taraf hidup masyarakat Suoh, Kabupaten Lampung Barat, Lampung.

Pembangunan PLTMH ini dilaksanakan bekerjasama dengan Jurusan Teknik Mesin Universitas Negeri Lampung dan Main Dealer Honda wilayah Lampung PT. Tunas Dwipa Matra. Dengan memanfaatkan aliran air Sungai Putih, AHM mendirikan 2 unit PLTMH di Pekon Banding Agung dan Pekon Tugu Ratu dengan kapasitas masing-masing sebesar 10.000 watt.

Dari muara Sungai Putih, turbin yang dibangun akan menggerakkan generator yang nantinya menghasilkan listrik yang akan dimanfaatkan untuk menopang aktivitas produktif masyarakat yang tinggal di 150 rumah di dua desa dia wilayah kecamatan Suoh, kabupaten Lampung Barat, provinsi Lampung.

“Wilayah Suoh memiliki potensi hasil pertanian yang baik, seperti kopi, kopra, merica, dan coklat. Dengan adanya PLTMH ini, kami berharap aktifitas perekonomian di Suoh akan semakin produktif. Dalam jangka panjang, kami yakin hal ini juga dapat meningkatkan taraf hidup masyarakat Suoh dan sekitarnya,” ucap Head of Corporate Communication AHM Kristanto.

Selain membangun PLTMH, AHM juga memberikan bantuan alat pengering hasil pertanian. Alat ini digerakkan oleh aliran listrik yang dihasilkan oleh PLTMH. Bantuan alat pengering ini bermanfaat untuk meningkatkan kualitas hasil pertanian sehingga dapat memberikan nilai jual yang tinggi bagi masyarakat Suoh dan sekitarnya. “Pembangunan PLTMH untuk masyarakat terpencil tidak akan berhenti di wilayah Suoh, Lampung Barat. Selanjutnya, kami berencana melakukan hal yang serupa untuk masyarakat di wilayah Banjar Puakan Kubutambahan, Buleleng, Bali dan wilayah Bolaang Mongondow, Sulawesi Utara.”

Pembangunan PLTMH untuk masyarakat Suoh ini merupakan program kedua yang telah dilakukan AHM dalam rangka pemberdayaan kehidupan masyrakakat melalui pembangunan PLTMH. Sebelumnya, AHM telah membangun fasilitas sejenis untuk masyarakat adat Banten Kidul kasepuhan Ciptagelar di Taman Nasional Gunung Halimun Salak (TNGHS) Sukamulya, Sukabumi, Jawa Barat.
