GILAMOTOR.com – Kecelakaan keras yang dialami Jorge Lorenzo di sesi latihan kedua MotoGP Assen, Kamis (27/6) kemarin terjadi saat kondisi sirkuit basah. Dalam kondisi itu, beberapa bagian dari sirkuit jadi sangat licin terlebih garis pitih atau Kerb.

Akbiat kecelakaan itu, Jorge Lorenzo harus menjalani operasi karena tulang selangka kirinya patah. Sebelum kecelakaan terjadi, Lorenzo melaju dengan sangat kencang setelah melewati tikungan cepat. Saat memasuki trek lurus ban nya menyentuh garis putih, motonya pun slip dan menghentak hingga membuatnya terbang ke udara.

Kondisi Kerb yang licin ternyata bukan hanya saat trek basah saja. Para pembalap MotoGP mengakui bahkan dalam kondisi kering pun Kerb sangat licin. Memang, menyentuh Kerb atau garis putih itu sangat beresiko dan behaya di kondisi basah, tapi beberapa pembalap merasa tingkat grip di Assen sangat rendah bahkan di kondisi kering sekalipun.

“Garis putih sangat licin, lebih dari sisi trek mana pun,” ucap pembalap Ducati Andrea Dovizioso. “Aku akan menghadap komisi keselamatan tapi aku tahu mereka selalu menggunakan material yang sama di setiap trek, jadi aku tak tahu jika mereka bisa melakukan sesuatu. “Saat pertama memasuki trek basah di sesi latihan kedua, aku menyentuh garis putih. Cukup tahu saja dan aku tak mau menyentuh garis putih lainnya.”

Sementara pemimpin klasemen MotoGP 2013 Dani Pedrosa mengaku kalau kondisi Kerb di sirkuit itu tak seperti biasanya. “Pagi ini beberapa Kerb sangat licin di kondisi kering, khususnya di chicane terakhir. Aku mengalami spin besar meski kondisi motor dalam keadaan hampir tegak. Beberapa Kerb, bahkan dalam kondisi kering, sangat licin.”
