Transponder dan Sensor Bermasalah, Desmosedici GP14 Tak Mau Lari

GILAMOTOR.com – Mungkin rasanya seperti anti klimaks saat sudah ada di tikungan terakhir jelang finish tapi tiba-tiba motor bermasalah dan nggak mau lari.

Hal itu yang dialami pebalap Ducati asal Inggris, Cal Crutchlow, di balapan seri pembuka MotoGP 2014 di Losail, Qatar. Desmosedici tunggangannya bermasalah dan nggak mau lari padahal garis finish sudah di depan mata.

Dugaan saat itu, Desmo GP14 tunggangannya kehabisan bahan bakar. Tapi setelah balapan usai, pebalap asal Inggris yang tiga tahun sebelumnya membalap bersama Tech 3 Yamaha memaparkan kalau Desmosedici nggak kehabisan bensin, tapi terjadi kegagalan kerja transponder dan sensor.

“Asal Anda tahu aja yah! Aku nggak kehabisan bensin!” kicau Crutchlow melalui akun twitternya @calcrutchlow, kemarin.

“Kami mengalami kegagalan transponder dan sensor setelah 5 lap yang bikin motor nggak tau kalau aku ada di trek. Balapan yang sulit saat motor berpikir kalau Anda sedang melaju di gear 6 padahal Anda lagi di gear 2.”

Cal menduga hal itu terjadi karena masalah pada ECU dari Magneti Marelli.

“Tim ku bekerja keras sepanjang akhir pekan ini dan aku merasa dalam kondisi baik di balapan sampai kejadian itu datang. Senang bisa finish.”

Cal Crutchlow termasuk beruntung karena meski bermasalah dia bisa menyelesaikan balapan dan finish di posisi 6. “Motor benar-benar berhenti di tikungan terakhir namun masih bisa melaju melewati garis finish.”
