OMR Yamaha Mio J, Balapan Khusus Wanita

GILAMOTOR.com – One Make Race (OMR) Yamaha Mio J perdana khusus wanita di event Matic Race dimenangi pembalap tuan rumah, Pieka, dari tim Kanan Kiri Duck’s RT.

Start dari posisi kedua dari hasil kualifikasi dengan 1 menit 18.653 detik, Pieka langsung memimpin dari lap pertama hingga garis finis sirkuit Gery Mang, Subang, Minggu (12 Mei).

”Yang penting paham racing line sirkuit dan didukung pengalaman balap. Dengan posisi start di depan juga membantu saya terus di depan. Saya berterimakasih kepada Yamaha yang mengadakan kelas wanita ini sehingga kami punya wadah berkompetisi. Peminatnya terbukti banyak di kelas ini melebihi jumlah peserta yang ditetapkan 15 orang,” ujar Pieka.

Tingginya animo pembalap wanita, yang mendaftar mencapai 21 orang, adalah bukti bergairahnya kelas OMR Yamaha Mio J ini. Sebagai penyedia motor, Yamaha pun konsisten ambil bagian hingga seri terakhir Matic Race.

”Dengan motor standard, sudah terbukti akselerasi motor bagus, nyaman dan speed terlihat saat digeber di sirkuit. Selanjutnya, kelas OMR Mio J yang mulai digelar di seri kedua Matic Race ini akan berlanjut hingga seri kelima. Mulai seri ketiga sampai kelima, Yamaha juga menyuplai 20 buah Xeon RC untuk kelas OMR pria di event Matic Race,” sebut Rony Winardi dari Divisi Marketing Support Yamaha Indonesia.
