Tunggu Tes Di Austin dan Jerez, Marquez Siap Beri Ancaman Di Seri Pembuka

GILAMOTOR.com – Berbekal catatan waktu tercepat kedua di hari terakhir sesi tes kedua di Sepang kemarin, rookie asal Spanyol Marc Marquez yakin kalau tes di Austin dan Jerez nanti akan memberikan semangat untuk bisa menunjukan levelnya di seri pembuka nanti. Juara dunia Moto2 yang bergabung dengan Honda menggantikan tempat Casey Stoner, merasa waktunya di sepang Malaysia sangat sedikit untuk bisa menarik sebuah kesimpulan dari hasil yang didapat.

Dengan kata lain, secara tak langsung Marc memberi isyarat kepada rival-rivalnya agar berhati-hati di seri pembuka nanti.

Sebelum dua tes resmi yang dimulai Februari 2013 kemarin, Marquez telah malakukan tes peibadi selama tiga hari di Sepang pada November 2012. Pembalap Spanyol ini berada di peringkat keempat dengan selisih (+0.536s) pada tes Sepang pertama dan berhasil memperbaiki catatan waktunya dengan selisih (0361 s) pada tes Sepang ke 2 dan berada di peringkat ke tiga.

Pembalap kelahiran 20 tahun yang lalu ini akan berangkat ke Sirkuit Austin, Texas, untuk melakukan tes pribadi bersama Honda dan Yamaha sebelum meluncur ke Jerez Spanyol akhir maret nanti. Balapan MotoGP yang sesungguhnya  akan dimulai pada tanggal 7 April nanti di bawah sorotan lampu sirkuit padang pasir yang megah, Qatar.

“Saya akan tahu lebih jelas (kemampuan saya) selama tes di Austin dan Jerez nanti,” jelas Marquez. “Selama tiga kali tes, saya dan tim berhasil malakukan banyak putaran dan memiliki banyak waktu untuk menentukan dasar yang baik.”

“Akan sangat menarik untuk melihat kemampuan kami. Austin merupakan sirkuit yang benar-benar baru, terutama Jerez dimana kami dan yang lainnya akan berhadapan dengan sirkuit yang lebih sempit dan pendek jika dibandingkan dengan Sepang.”

Marquez telah berada cukup dekat dengan catatan lap terbaik, namun Marquez masih merasa dan butuh beberapa perubahan yang lebih cepat untuk meningkatkan kinerja ban yang dipakai. “Saya masih perlu meningkatkan kemampuan di beberapa area.” Ucapnya. “ Harus lebih peka pada setiap perubahan yang dilakukan pada motor.”
