Pasalnya, sejak sesi latihan Lorenzo selalu mengeluhkan masalah performa M1 tunggangannya. Namun berkat usaha dan kerjasama dengan tim, dia berhasil mencapai posisi kedua diakhir balap kemarin.
Dalam tulisan itu, dia menceritakan bagaimana usahanya mempertahankan posisi untuk tetap berada di depan hingga dia dihantui perasaan takut. Mungkin jika perasaan takut tak muncul saat dia berusaha mematahkan dominasi Stoner, dia bisa menempati posisi pertama.
Yang dilakukan Lorenzo kala itu adalah berusaha menempertahankan jarak antara dirinya dan dua pebalap Honda, Pedrosa dan Stoner. Menurutnya, dia berusaha mempertahankan ritme agar tak tertinggal lebih dari dua detik dibelakang pebalap Honda. Pasalnya jika itu terjadi, dia akan kesulitan untuk mengambil alih posisi yang dihuni Pedrosa.
“Pada kenyataannya saya merasa baik dan tidak melihat hal mustahil untuk mengejar Stoner. Tapi tiga putaran menjelang usai, perasaan takut muncul ketika saya hampir mengalami balapan keras dan pulang tanpa poin. Karena itu, posisi kedua terasa hampir lebih baik dari pada kemenangan-kemenangan lainnya.â€
Karena rasa takut itulah, dia menganggap bahwa podium kedua terasa begitu istimewa kendati dia tidak berada di posisi pertama. Perayaan kemenangan yang dilakukan begitu menggebu-gebu, merupakan luapan perasaannya saat meraih podium kemenangannya.
Lorenzo juga mengungkapkan rasa terimakasihnya kepada seluruh tim yang dengan sangat sabar bekerja dengan dirinya. Dia juga mengungkapkan terimakasih kepada para penggemarnya di seluruh dunia yang selalu mendukungnya. Selain itu, Lorenzo juga mendedikasikan kemenangannya untuk masyarakat Jepang.
